WKU虚拟桌面资源迁移手册
1. Install the horizon client from official website Download VMware Horizon Clients - VMware Customer Connect (omnissa.com)
or from the inner website https://newvd.wku.edu.cn/downloads/VMware-Horizon-Client-2312.1-8.12.1-23531249.exe (faster downloading when connected to campus network).

Double-click VMware-Horizon-Client-2312.1-8.12.1-23531249.exe to start installation.
双击exe程序安装。
2. Click “agree & install” button to start.
点击“同意和安装”。
3. Restart the computer after successfully installation the software.
软件安装成功后重启电脑。
4. Double click the Vmware horizon client icon on the desktop.
双击桌面上的Vmware horizon图标。
5. Click “Settings” option.
点击“设置”。
6. Go to “security” option. Change the item from "Warn before connecting to untrusted servers" to "Do not verify server identity certificates".
点击“安全”，选择“不验证服务器身份证书”。
7. Go to “VMware Blast” option in the left and then Click the “Allow High Definition Color (may reduce battery life and performance)”.
点击“VMware Blast”，勾选“允许高色彩精度（会缩短电池续航时间并降低性能）”。
8. Go back and select the “add server” button.
返回并点选择“添加服务器”按钮。
9. Fill in with “oldvd.wku.edu.cn” for the old virtual desktop if you have and then click on the “Connect” button. (Make sure you have connected to the VPN if you are off campus).
如果有旧的虚拟桌面，请输入“oldvd.wku.edu.cn”，然后点击“连接”按钮。(如果你在校外，请确保你已经连接了VPN)。
10. Enter the username and password (same as your WKU email) to login.
输入用户名和密码（与温肯邮箱一致），点击登录。
11. Double-click to access your old virtual desktop. (Some faculty and staff may have multiple old virtual desktops. If you need to access another desktop, reopen the software and repeat steps 10 and 11).
双击即可访问旧的虚拟桌面。(一些教职员工可能有多个旧的虚拟桌面。如果您需要访问另一个桌面，请重新打开软件并重复步骤10和11)
12. Here it comes to the session that we need to upload our documents or any other resources to the “Personaldisk” drive (around 100GB) which can be used in the new virtual desktops too.
接下去我们需要将我们的文档或任何其他资源上传到“PersonalDisk”驱动器(大约100GB)，该驱动器也可以在新的虚拟桌面中使用。
Assuming that I have a word document named data on the desktop.
假设我在桌面上有一个名为data的word文档。
Double-click “this pc” icon on the desktop to access “PersonalDisk” drive.
双击桌面上的“This PC”图标，进入“PersonalDisk”驱动器。
Note: the documents or resources will only be stored in three locations: PersonalDisk, desktop and my documents, but data can only be accessed through different platforms only if it is uploaded to the “PersonalDisk” drive .
注意:文档或资源将只存储在三个位置:PersonalDisk, desktop和my documents，但数据只有上传到“PersonalDisk”驱动器才能通过不同的平台访问。
13. Copy the document ”data” into this “PersonalDisk” drive.
把“data”文档复制到“PersonalDisk”驱动器中。
14. Now we can repeat step 8,9,10 to login to the new virtual desktop.
现在请重复步骤8、9、10来登录新虚拟桌面。
Exit and select the “add server” button.
退出并选择“添加服务器”按钮。
Fill in with “newvd.wku.edu.cn” .
输入“newvd.wku.edu.cn”。
Enter account and password.
输入账号密码。
15. Choose the new virtual desktop.
选择新虚拟桌面。
16. Wait for around 2 minutes to login to the desktop.
等待一会儿即可登录成功。
17. After Double clicking “this pc” icon, we can see “PersonalDisk” drive again.
双击“This PC”图标，能再次看到“PersonalDisk”驱动器。
18. Open the drive and the previous word document “data” will be right there.
打开驱动器，前面的word文档“data”将在那里。
