How to log in and use VDI (Virtual DeskTop Infrastructurer)
in the classroom
1. Once the classroom equipment is turned on, you will see the following image on the display. Then Click "Connect"
2. Click "Continue".
3. Enter your username and password (same as your WKU email) and click "Login"

Once logged in successfully, you can use the computer.
How to log in and use VDI(Virtual DeskTop Infrastructurer)
in your person laptop
1. Download and install the horizon client from official website Download VMware Horizon Clients - VMware Customer Connect (omnissa.com)
or from the inner website https://newvd.wku.edu.cn/downloads/VMware-Horizon-Client-2312.1-8.12.1-23531249.exe ( faster downloading when connected to campus network)
After downloading, double-click VMware-Horizon-Client-2312.1-8.12.123531249.exe to start the installation.
2.Click “Agree & Install”
3. Restart your system for VMware Horizon Client changes to take effect.
4.Double-click the VMware Horizon Client icon on the desktop and click the "Settings" option.
5.Go to “security” option. Change the setting from "Warn before connecting to untrusted servers" to "Do not verify server identity certificates"
6.Navigate to “VMware Blast” option on the left, then Click on “Allow High Definition Color (may reduce battery life and performance)”
7.Go back and select the “add server” button
8.Enter "newvd.wku.edu.cn" and then click the "Connect". (Ensure you're connected to the VPN if off-campus).
9.Enter your username and password (the same as your WKU email) to log in
10.Choose the virtual desktop
11.Please wait approximately 1 minutes for logging to the desktop.
12. Upload the class materials to the desktop. These files will then be accessible from the Virtual Desktop in the classroom as well.
Once you access the virtual desktop in the classroom, you should be able to view these materials.
